All acquirers pretty much do the same thing, namely moving funds from one bank account to another upon request. The difference, and what you need to consider, is the agreement itself and which payment methods are offered by the acquirer.
With regards to the agreement, you should consider not only the total costs but also your incoming payments settlement period, and if a bank guarantee is required.
Perhaps the most important thing is to make sure that the acquirer offers the payment methods used by your target customers. A country, or even a specific age segment, may prefer one payment method while another segment may prefer something entirely different.
It is possible to have agreements with multiple acquirers to cover the most used payment methods, and have redundancy in case an acquirer is down.
The agreement application processing time can take from af few days up to six weeks, and include a risk assessment and review of your storefront, giving you ample time to focus on the integration of QuickPay.
In essence, QuickPay is the bridge between the shop system and the acquirers - sort of like a credit card terminal on the internet. On your behalf QuickPay will accept payment details from your customer, process them, and exchange relevant data with the acquirer.
