Support for multiple currencies

Yes, Quickpay supports arbitrary currencies.

What currency you wish use is controlled in the Quickpay payment window by setting the variable $currency.

There are two ways to settle them.

The easiest method is to let the acquiring bank handle currency.

The second way is to assign a foreign currency account to your merchant agreement.

  • Create a currency account at your bank (one account per currency)
  • Let the acquirer settle the transactions in different currencies into the relevant bank accounts

Which currency codes should we use?

Currency codes must be specified according to ISO 4217 standard. The notation is 3 letters per currency code.

Most frequently used are:

  • Danish kroner; DKK
  • Euro, EUR
  • Swedish kroner, SEK
  • Norwegian kroner, NOK
  • US Dollar, USD
