How to get started with Quickpay

This guide will help you getting started with Quickpay. If you need help with choosing an acquirer and apply for an agreement with them, then we have another page with more information about this.

When your new account is created

When you have ordered Quickpay, you will receive a welcome mail with a login and a link to the login page. The login page look like the picture below.

After your first login, we strongly recommend that you change your password. This is done under "Settings -> My account".

Integrate Quickpay with your shop

If you are using one of the many shop-systems that we have modules for, then you can download the appropriate module from our website and follow the installation instructions included with the module.

If we do not have a module for your shop-system, then you can download source code examples from the Quickpay-manager under "Tools".

Under Tools you will also find the "Test suite". Here you can test if you have setup Quickpay correctly and if you ready to go live (the test suite can only be used when you have an agreement with at least one acquirer).

Configuring acquirers

Before you can use Quickpay and your shop for real transactions, you must have entered your business number from your acquirer under "Settings -> Acquirers". When you have done this, we recommend that you run some tests through the "Test suite" under "Tools" to make sure things are working.

Prepare your shop and Quickpay for production

When you have integrated Quickpay with your shop and have signed an agreement with an acquirer, you must change status for Quickpay and shop from Test mode to production. In Quickpay this is done under "Settings -> Gateway mode".

Your first transaction

When you have received your first transaction(s), then you must capture it before the money is transfered from your customers account to yours.

Some shop-systems have integrated direct capture (and other API-features) from the shop-administration then enables capture from the order management. How you capture transactions in every shop-system is to comprehensive to describe here, but check out the readme files or the shop-systems website for help.

No matter what you choose as your shop-system, you can always capture the transactions from the Quickpay-manager and you do this under "Transactions -> Authorized".

To capture a transaction, simply click the icon of the blue disc and in the new window that opens, you can change amount to a smaller amount (if needed) and then click OK. You have now captured your first transaction.

See your captured transactions

When you have captured a transaction, it is moved from "Authorized" to "Captured".

Transaction details

In any view under "Transactions" you can see details for any transation, just click next to the transaction. This feature is very useful for failed transactions, because the details includes an error message from Quickpay and from the acquirer and also a recommended action to solve the problem.

If you need help

You can always contact us directly from the Quickpay-manager. From the menu to the left, just go to "Contact -> Support". Fill in your question(s) and click "Send".

Some of the fields are pre-filled with data from Quickpau, but you are free to update/change the information. This can be useful if you are a developer and have logged in with your clients username/mail-address. Then you can type your own address and the support dialogue will go directly to you.
